My first hand sewn item was a apron, hand sewn and hand embriodered when i was 9 yrs. From then onwards I have made lots of different items. I made my school leaving dress. which although was not great I loved it. Money at the time was not plentiful. But this installed me to keep making and creationing. I went onto have 4 children. Each time I was pregnant I made my own maternity dresses. I went onto knitting cardigans and jumpers. This was a skill my late mother taught me. Each product I made I was determind to get better and better at. I took great pleasure in making and creating world book day clothes for my 5th child. Fancy dress clothing for her and myself. My oldest daughter whom was getting her children christened, wanted them to have dressess made from her wedding dress, but the design that the dress maker had created did not show the wedding dress off to it best ability and there was no love shown. I decided to make them, which brought back my love for sewing and creating.
Eventhough I am a retired ward sister, and still work part time at my local hospitial, lockdown brought so many opportunities. Itu wanted modesity gowns, and people brought bedding into them, which then lead to me making them. I have worked in ITU so i know how important these are. Again this opened my love for creating and this led onto embroidery and making personalised face mask, which opened my imagination and onto creating personalised items in many forms.
Sadly my yougest brother passed away and I wanted to do something for him. For his children and his grandchildren. With his daughters blessing I went onto make memory bears from his clothes. My first bear was for Jaxon, his grand son, this created Patchwork Jaxon bear, and a rabbit for his grand daughter, which is called Lexy Rabbit. Making these items from my brothers clothes brought back so many memories, but love flowed into them. This is why I have decieded to do keepsake items. To give back love to my customers.
My passion for creating although a hobby that I enjoyed and still do, it is growing, allowing me to put love into other peoples creations.

How the soft toys are made.
I take great care in your loved ones clothes as I am aware that these could be the last item of memory you have, so the upmost care is given to them.
A template is used around the item of clothing to see which is the best place to use for part of the bear. This takes time to make sure the item is shown off to its best when the bear is complete. It is then cut with precision. Then stablised with non-woven interfacing, depending on the material that is used a further stablisation of fusible fleece is used. This also stops the material used from stretching while filling the bear. Stablilisaing the material before filling will ensure the bear keeps its shape.
